Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Narvik Shield Hold WWI Australian Military Forces Cap(Narvikschild). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a propeller, anchor, and edelweiss representing the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Gebirgsjger, respectively, topped by an inscription of NARVIK and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, affixed to a dark blue wool backer, the reverse with a zink backplate and all four attachment prongs intact, unmarked, measuring 48. 40 mm (w) x 90. 39 mm (h)
