A Beautiful Pair of Early 20thC Art Deco Ivory Bangles sub-Curios her head turned awayOrigin: English Period: Early Twentieth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1920 Inner Diameter: 2. 5 inches Full Diameter: 3 inches Expertly carved, each bangle is fashioned into bobbins on the outer rim and gadrooned to the inner. The ivory is well patinated and there are no cracks or chips to note. The booming economy in the 1920s allowed for liberal use of the more expensive materials, such as diamonds, onyx and ivory, as we see here, in jewelry.
