Chinees porseleinen dekselvaas – Double Happiness Maat:Medium presented at Maison & ObjetThis blue and white porcelain lidded jar is painted in classic cobalt blue with the Shuangxi (Double Happiness) motif, a symbol that sits at the heart of Chinese tradition for good fortune and harmony. A dense scroll of stylised flowers wraps the body. The porcelain is made from an authentic mix of kaolin and petuntse, fired at 1400C. This gives a rock hard, glassy ceramic of substantial weight. You can tell the quality of the material straight away
