As a result of the illustrations created in the 1930s for the French art bookseller Ambroise Vollard for Hesiod's Theogony, one of the great ancient poems about the origin of the gods, mythological themes found their way into Braque's graphic works. In addition to etchings, woodcuts and lithographs, the catalog also shows ceramic works by this great modern classic.
