58° Merlot 2022 Chardonnay — but Merlot belongsMerlot is the outlier. The rest of our 58 line is Burgundian Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay but Merlot belongs further west, in Bordeaux. We grow it on the same Auggener Liesten slope, where the calcareous loess loam and gradients up to 58 push the vines to work for it. Hand harvested, fermented on native yeasts, aged in barrique, biodynamic from row to bottle. 700 bottles in this vintage. Tasting notes Powerful, velvety, defined by quiet
