Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1943, affixed with all four side prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with an intact paper liner and field grey wool liner, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 18 mm (w) x 62. 24 mm (h), demonstrating minor
