Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Duchy. A Military Merit Cross For 12 Years Of Service, C.1860 Hold privately impressed on the UNKM(Militr Dienstkreuz fr 12 Dienstjahren). Instituted 1 July 1846 by Grand Duke George. (1846 1872 issue). Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with a central monogram of Grand Duke George, the reverse with a central number 12 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 37. 00 mm (w) x 41. 78 mm (h), weighing 14. 6 gram (inclusive of ribbon), in near
