Taglioni, Marie - Extra Large Playbill Theatre Royal, London, 1837 Playbills Music September 1970Swedish born star ballerina (1804 1884), one of the greatest ballet dancers in the 19th century and a fundamental figure in the history of ballet dancing. Her father created La Sylphide in 1832 for her. Original vintage playbill announcement for a performance at Theatre Royal in London, 1837, with Marie Taglioni performing La Sylphide and Le Pas des Bayaderes. Her brother Paul is also in the cast.
