Germany, Third Reich. An Order of the German Eagle, III Class Cross with Case, by Gebrüder Godet Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic units entered combat(Deutscher Adlerorden Kreuz III. Klasse mit Etui). Instituted 1 May 1937. (1939 1943 issue). Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms, with each arm joined through the quadrants by an NSDAP style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on a white enameled disc, the twelve oclock arm topped by a fan and integral loop connecting to a ribbed suspension ring retaining a period
