China, Japanese Occupied Manchukuo. An Order Of The Pillars Of The State, Vii Class, C.1940 Auction maker marked KNAUER on pin( Guji zhzh xnzhng ). Instituted in 1936. In silver with red, white, blue and yellow enamels, measuring 40. 5 mm (w) x 50. 7 mm (h), intact enamels, replacement ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Pillars of the State was established by Emperor Kang Teh of Manchuria. It is considered similar to the Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure, the reverse featuring Japanese characters.
