An Imperial S98 05 bayonet, measuring 520 mm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 365 mm long tapering magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and lower edge, and with a fuller running the length of each side. It is unmarked with the exception of a makers mark on the reverse ricasso of MAUSER A. G., OBERNDORF, with an additional partially legible inscription
