KIEL" on the reverse, 19. 3 mm x 19. 5 mm, button hole attachment, intact enamels, extremely fine. Footnote: The Kiel Week (Kieler Woche) or Kiel Regatta is an annual sailing event in Kiel, Germany. It is the largest sailing event in the world, and also one of the largest Volksfeste in Germany. Beginning in 1934, Kiel Week became an instrument of propaganda for the Nazis.
