A 93Rd Cumberland Battalion Of Infantry Helmet Plate, C.1890 GTRexclude earning his Pilot's Flying BadgeIn die stamped copper, unmarked, the insignia illustrating a maple leaf bearing the number "93" in the centre, the inner circlet inscribed "CUMBERLAND INFANTRY MDCCCLXXI" (1871), the outer circlet inscribed in Latin "VESTIGIA NULLA RETRORSUM" (No Backward Steps) and incorporates a half wreath of thistles, the insignia backed by two downward pointing swords and surmounted by the Victorian crown, measuring 92. 7 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), all three lugs
