It crossed a north-south extension of the main Himalaya Mountains that ran south through northern Burma and western China
This was followed by his posting to the Senior Instructor Quartermaster School
bearing a black inscription of “TREUE UM TREUE” (“FAITHFULNESS TO FAITHFULNESS”) and a facsimile of the signature of Paul von Hindenburg
with the addition of a stiff “through piece” that serves to keep the flap closed
