Four piece construction, insignia in silver gilt with red and white enamels, type I as defined by the inscriptions on the arms on the obverse, hallmarked with a boar's head on the obverse of the integral suspension and maker marked "AB & Co" (Arthus Bertrand & Compagnie) on the ring, measuring 41 mm (w) x 62 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath and laterally pierced ball
