Each board incorporates rank stripes in light blue and black embroidery, the stripes stitched in place to a grayish blue wool upper, two with a stiff fibre frame, three with a brass button bearing the crowned RCAF eagle insignia and one bearing the crowned RAF eagle insignia inserted into the button hole,
