Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised Olympic column, topped by rings, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1936, the reverse bearing an inscription of FR VERDIENSTVOLLE MITARBEIT BEI DEN OLYMPISCHEN SPIELEN 1936 (FOR MERITORIOUS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE OLYMPIC GAMES 1936),
