Constructed of silvered feinzink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central monogram of Grand Duke Wilhelm Ernst, circumscribed by an inscription of TREUE DIENSTE BEI DER FAHNE (FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE FLAG), the reverse with a number 9 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 30. 09 mm in
