Captain Martin resigned his commission and was Honorably Discharged due to wounds on June 7
McNeill returned to Canada in late December
1918 he was awarded the 2nd Class of the Order of the Zähringer Lion with Swords (clearly stated in Wehrpass)
and a CD containing twenty-two pages with copies of his Index Cards
followed by six months of Night School in commercial subjects (1937)
