Finland, Republic. Winter War 1939-1940 Medal, Kenttäarmeija United Republic of each unmarked and measuring 40(Talvisodan muistomitali). Instituted in 1940. KENTTARMEIJA (Central Army). In blackened iron, magnetic, inscribed "KUNNIA ISNMAA" on the reverse, measuring 31 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), original ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Finnish Winter War Medal was instituted on August 2, 1940 and awarded to those who served during the Winter War campaign against the Soviet Union.
