alongside the red Saperavi
whose presence relegates wine made here to Vin de France status
Flavors this year are very citrus-fruity
They don't do flor anymore (since 2023) because of the heat
There’s far less pressure here to hit certain marks of ‘typicity’
Walter Scott Sojeau Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024 Color:Red alongside the red SaperaviWalter Scott owns no vineyards, but Sujeau is as close as they get to an 'estate'. Looking straight east at the Van Duzer Corridor, grapes here handle plenty of weather through the growing season, and the resulting wine is fully formed. Nicely structured, lengthy tannins, with forest floor, strawberry and floral accents, this is the most 'complete' wine of the set.
