maker marked "MS" and engraved "23" over "AUGUST" on the reverse
This set was meant to be worn together on a cap from May of 1941 till mid-1942
however the terms were generous because the Ottomans wanted to win Montenegrin goodwill
bearing two silvered bronze rank pips and a single gilded bronze anchor

Constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval chain link wreath, bearing a central raised anchor overlaid by crossed swords, the reverse with an elongated crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 41. 19 mm (w) x 46. 16 mm (h), weighing 8. 4 grams, in near mint condition.
