The Los Angeles based heavy metal group had spent the last half of the previous decade as one of, if not the, preeminent rock groups, and so when they released this ambitious and lengthy double album fans ate it up. Both records were certified Platinum. To support the albums, GNR went on one of the lengthiest tours in the history of music.
