Bavaria, Kingdom. A Royal Merit Order Of St. Michael, 1St Class Grand Cross Star, C.1845 Auction Archive some enamel damage and repair1837 1918 Issue. (Bruststern zum Grokreuz). A finely made star in typical early French style, consisting of a multiple smooth and scaled rays, a Gold four armed cross with pebbled surfaces with ornate silver button bordering affixed by four screwposts, centre applique in blue enamel with Quis ut Deuss (Latin Who [is] like God?) as well as each of the arms of the cross featuring a letter, to form the acronym PFFP for Principi Fidelis Favere Patria
