the obverse pebbled with a Stahlhelm superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel wreaths with a tied bow at the bottom (note the lack of a swastika on the helmet)
but otherwise well preserved
overall gilt loss on the wings
the reverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a hand-painted and finely-detailed Oldenburg coat of arms with details executed in gilt
which was soon changed to "Neuralgia" on November 6

A well preserved HJ members knife, measuring 25 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 14 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade retaining factory original sharpening to both the tip and lower edge. Acid etched onto the obverse of the blade is an inscription of BLUT UND EHRE! (BLOOD AND HONOUR). The reverse bears a makers mark of H. & F. LAUTERJUNG, SOLINGEN.
