we've grown them as lowlanders for a few months and they don't seem to skip a beat in growth although pitcher color and size may be reduced when grown warm

Plants from the original type locale (Kemul) in Kalimantan are the only ones designated as fusca

It was bred by Bill Baumgartl years ago and has the designation “D4”

This product is considered a Intermediate Tropical plant

This is a true lowland species and we recommend warm temperatures year around for it to thrive

The female parent is a vibrantly colorful Nepenthes spectabilis x lowii originally from EP. The male hamata used is a Lumut form from Malesiana Tropicals. Even at a small size, we are seeing toothiness come through. Our hope is retain the woody texture and coloration of the female parent as the plant matures. Seedlings currently have pale coloration
