Germany, Heer. A Demjansk Shield Auction three and a half weeks(rmelschild Demjansk). Constructed of magnetic steel, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a pair of crossed swords overlaying a plane, situated above a date of 1942, and topped by an inscription of DEMJANSK with a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn flanked by log pillboxes, affixed with all four original attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate, retaining a field grey wool liner and intact black paper
