Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn flanked by a date of 1943, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a zink backplate with a black wool liner indicating issue to Panzer personnel, unmarked, the shield measuring 51. 38 mm (w) x 61. 42 mm (h), in extremely fine
