Germany, Heer. A Commemorative Gebirgsjäger (Mountain Troops) Bayonet Hold I was turning towards COMPEIGNE(Gebirgsjger Bajonett). This is a very well preserved Heer (Army) Gebirgsjger commemorative bayonet, measuring 345 mm in length with the scabbard on. The bayonet features a 205 mm long nickel plated magnetic metal blade, the obverse of which features a raised inscription of Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit (In Memory of My Service Time), flanked by a Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) and a Wehrmacht style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile
