Afghanistan, Kingdom. An Order of Independence, III Class Star certificate_of_authenticity the pinback maker marked “GODET”(Nishan i Istiqlal). Instituted in 1911. Of local manufacture, two piece insignia in silver, the centrepiece illustrating the Kingdom of Afghanistan coat of arms, surrounded by an inscription in Arabic, with an impressed (3) denoting third class, mounted to a blackened magnetic metal base with multi rayed arms consisting of three wide pointed ends alternating with another three sharp pointed ends, measuring 71. 7 mm (w) x 70. 5 mm (h), weighs 58. 96
