Germany, Heer. A Kuban Shield, Panzer Unit certificate_of_authenticity Pour le Merite and Knight’s(Kubanschild). Constructed of a bronzed metal alloy, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1943, affixed to a black wool backer with a faux black leather liner, with all four reverse attachment prongs intact, unmarked, the shield measuring 51. 66 mm (w) x 61. 23 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
