Japan. An Order Of The Golden Kite, V Class, C. 1940 Auction 2) A War Merit Cross( Kinshi Kunsh). Instituted on 12 February 1890 by Emperor Meiji. Showa Period (1926 1989). In silver gilt, a multi coloured enamelled decoration, the obverse portraying an eight point red enamelled star with three smooth rays in each cluster, the reverse in silver with four rivets, measures 45. 90mm (w) x 49. 75mm (h inclusive of integral ball suspension), weighs 29. 6 grams, worn on a correct replacement ribbon, cracking and fading to red enamel
