Germany, Luftwaffe. An Officer’s Overseas Cap Archive measuring 116 mm (w) x(Luftwaffe Schiffchen fr Offiziere). A well preserved Luftwaffe Officers overseas cap, constructed of dark grey wool twill. The cap is fully surrounded by fold down side panels, trimmed along the edge with a length of silver aluminum wire piping, and reinforced with dual rows of machine embroidery. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark grey wool base bearing a machine embroidered silver grey Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile
