Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon and topped by a perched Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left tank track extending over the edge of the badge, the reverse with a barrel hinge set inside of a crimped border and a vertical
