Today it is run by a winemaker from Piedmont who grew up surrounded by wine and the wine industry. Paolos approach to this Chianti is a delicate modern wine wrapped up in an ancient jacket. The wine is made up of Sangiovese and another native Chianti grape, Canaiolo, but it also has a touch of Syrah. The result is an inviting earthy and dense red wine that is heady and soft with some good
