Instituted in 1926. Type II (1942 1975). Five piece construction, in silver with blue and white enamels, unmarked, the central insignia with blue Saltire Cross surmounted by the Franco crown (Imperial crown), measuring 69. 3 mm (w) x 71 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual stays, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, insignia bearing the Spanish coat of arms in bronze gilt
