An 1819 Medal For The Launch Of The Sloops Discovery And Benevolent United Republic of An Austrian Long Service CrossConstructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and rightward facing profile of Tsar Alexander I, circumscribed by name and title in Russian Cyrillic, the reverse bearing a plain Cyrillic inscription indicating that the medal was issued in 1819 to commemorate the launch of the sloops (DISCOVERY) and (BENEVOLENT), unmarked, measuring 42 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
