Emerging in the early 90s, influenced by the late 70s British punk, the American trio took a more mainstream turn by incorporating catchy hooks and harmonies into their loud, energetic sound. They popularized punk rock in the US to the point of selling out stadiums, especially after the release of Dookie in 1994 which sold 15 million
