Constructed of gilded and silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central viking longship sailing over a globe, the reverse with a block hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, with a single visible rivet holding the obverse globe in place, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by C.
