I like that extra step of silver at the base as it serves to frame the stone visually. All in solid 925 Sterling Silver of course, although the extra weight does add to the price. Mandarin Citrine has a richer, more orange hue. It is still heated Amethyst,as is nearly all the Citrine one sees, but the initial Amethyst had a deeper shade of Purple to create this tone.
