Germany, Heer. A Kuban Shield Archive notable edge bruising on reverse(rmelschild Kuban). Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of KUBAN and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1943, affixed with four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate and field grey wool backer, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 44 mm (w) x 61. 52 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
