The recipient is SS Sturmmann Otto Buerle, serving in the Signals Detachment 7 of the 7th Volunteer SS Mountain Division Prinz Eugen. He rescued the troops horses during a fire caused by an enemy attack. For this he is awarded the Bronze Bravery Medal on January 30, 1944.
