Constructed of silvered tombak, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing a raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised number 8, circumscribed by an inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE IN
