Germany, Third Reich. A Silver Germanic Folk Art Brooch, With Case, By Gahr Auction Archive (Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen in Silber mit(Brosch mit Etui). Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of a ribbed circular disc reminiscent of a Viking era shield, bearing knotted designs topped with ball finials over a hollow background, the reverse with a horizontal pinback meeting a functional locking catch, the centre stamped with a silver content number of 900 and a makers mark of GAHR, MNCHEN for the firm of Otto and Karolina Gahr (the preferred silversmith and jeweler of the
