They were founded in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, CA by guitarist Greg Ginn and singer Keith Morris. This classic lineup only lasted a few years as Morris left and formed Circle Jerks, but Ginn and slowly rotating lineup of other musicians eventually landed on a new singer: Henry Rollins.
