Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a monogram of Friedrich Wilhelm III topped by a royal crown, the reverse with an inscription of VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT (SERVICE TO THE STATE) inside of a laurel wreath, measuring 39. 27 mm, weighing 23. 1 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
