A Rare Second War Danish Distinguished Flying Medal Auction 1st Class with Miniature -Silver, obverse with the cypher of Frederick IX surrounded by the inscription "FOR UDMAERKET LUFTTJENESTE" (Medal for Distinguished Flying Service), reverse inscribed "FORTJENT" (Deserved) inside an open ended wreath, 30. 2 mm, contact marks, edge nicks, near very fine. Footnote: The medal was instituted on May 30, 1962 and awarded to pilots or aircrew for meritorious services or acts in the air.
