(1914 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed arms, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Grand Duke Adolf Friedrich VI, the six oclock arm bearing an institution date of 1914, the reverse bearing a central wreathed inscription of TAPFER UND TREU
