Germany, Rad. A National Labour Service Leader’s M43 Style Field Cap, By August Schaltenberg Auction Archive maker marked Ross on inside(Reichsarbeitsdienst Leiter M43 Feldmtze). Constructed of brown wool with fold down scalloped side panels, secured at the front by a single pebbled silver magnetic button. The cap features thick silver aluminum bullion piping along the crown in a thatched design. At the front of the cap is a metal RAD insignia, consisting of a white pointed spade with red bordering, and a back swastika in the center, with outward facing wheat stalks at a 45 degree
