Bavaria, Kingdom. A Long Service Award, II Class for 24 Years Archive lid marked "Patriae ac Humanitati(Dienstauszeichnungskreuz 2. Klasse fr 24 Jahre). Instituted 3 March 1865 by King Ludwig II. (1906 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed arms completing in ball finials and with arms joined through the inner quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central Bavarian checkered shield, the reverse bearing a central ribbed shield overlaid by an inscription of XXIV DIENST JAHRE (24 SERVICE YEARS),
